for his car (non-Z) and it worked great. His was obviously more clunky than that one looks, but same end result. He used to tell stories about how funny it was when cops pulled him over for no front plate just to find it was there and SOLIDLY mounted, not on just a hinge like most people do.
I'd still just rather not run a front plate at all, but I know some people get pulled over more than others for not having one.
